Adding Material Movement to an Activity Template

Adding Material Movement to an Activity Template

Follow this guide if needed Activity template for the creation of an Activity Template

To add the Material Movement to an Activity Template, simply add a new item and select the material movement option. Then select the movement type.

From here all the Movement Type Fields will populate into their own Activity Items. A summary will appear at the end of the form.

Using Repeat For Each Component

Each activity should only have one movement type field added to it. It is possible to have a single activity do multiple movements of the same type by enabling the 'Repeat For Each Component' on the activity item. Remember to do this for each field.

Convert Unit of Measures

By default, the quantity field will assume the entered value is the same unit of measure as the target material. If this is not the case, then a unit of measure conversion is required to capture the correct quantity.

Refer to this to setup the conversion of material quantities. Once compelted, you will be able to add the Unit of Measure Conversion on the item properties. Now when a value is entered, it is converted to the base unit of measure of the material

In the above example, the target material has a base uom of Kg. The field is setup with the uom of Layer. The field converts the Layer uom to Kg by multiplying by 8. The form will still submit the value of 4 Layers, but the movement transaction will record that it was 32Kg of material.
