# TilliT Sensors

### TilliT Wireless Network

In the scenario that you do not know much about the data the PLC or SCADA contains, then consider utilising our wireless sensors that are able to generate counts independant of you current machines. Choose from either a bottle counter, box counter, dry contact or PNP/NPN sensor. These wireless sensors communicate to a wireless gateway, from which the TilliT Edge will connect via MODBUS TCP over ethernet to read the current counts. A single wireless gateway can support up to 48 wireless part counters which are paired manually

It is important that the location of the sensor is appropriate and has a good quality connection to the wireless gateway. It is recommended that it is placed at the end of a line or asset to count the total produced goods or the count of those that were rejected.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.tillit.cloud/tillit/knowledge-base/setting-up-tillit/edge/tillit-sensors.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
