# Common Data Sources

## Create a Data Source

Ensure TilliT Edge is onboarded and online.

Go to the Edge Data Sources panel in the Edge's expanded information.

1. Click the **Create** button to open the configuration pop-up window.

Click **Save and close** to finalize the setup.

Verify the connection:

* Be sure to press the **Publish Configuration** button for the Edge.
* Check the **Connected** checkbox. A tick will appear once the edge is connected to the data source.
* The connection status updates every 60 seconds.
