Auto Shift automates the scheduling of orders on the Scheduler board. When enabled, manual scheduling actions are disabled to prevent conflicts with the automated process.
Auto Shift is a scheduling mode that automatically sequences and schedules orders for a location. When Auto Shift is enabled, the system manages the schedule, manual changes to the board are blocked to ensure the automated schedule remains consistent.
Auto Shift control appears in the Scheduler toolbar
Auto Shift OFF
Small icon-only button
Click to enable Auto Shift and trigger an immediate autoshift run
Auto Shift ON
Primary-coloured chip labelled Auto Shift with a sync icon
Click to disable Auto Shift
Auto Shift can also be toggled via the Settings drawer inside the Scheduler. Both controls update the same setting.
When Auto Shift is enabled for a location, all manual scheduling gestures on the board are disabled:
Allocating an order
Dragging an order from the unscheduled grid onto the board is prevented
Moving an allocation
Dragging a scheduled order to a new time or resource is prevented
Resizing an allocation
Adjusting an order's duration by dragging its edge is prevented
Unallocating an allocation
Removing an order from the schedule is prevented
Manual Autoshift
The Manual Autoshift toolbar action is disabled
Manual Sequencer
The Manual Sequencer toolbar action is disabled
Bulk Actions
The Unschedule and Close Gaps bulk actions are disabled
When you attempt any of these actions while Auto Shift is on, a notification will appear:
"Manual actions are disabled while Auto Shift is enabled."
Read-only actions — such as viewing order details, comparing optimisation results, and updating order status — remain available while Auto Shift is active.
Access to the Auto Shift control requires the Manage Scenario permission for the location.
