# Q3 2026 Update Highlights

## TilliT Q3 2026 Highlights

Another strong quarter in the books! From faster downtime classification to smarter scheduling safeguards and a more flexible activity form builder, the TilliT team has kept the momentum going with a steady stream of improvements built to make everyday work on the floor smoother and more reliable. Here are our top highlights from Q3 2026.

## Recent Reasons Quick-Select for Downtime

Classifying downtime just got a whole lot faster. The assign modal now surfaces up to 3 recently used reason and comment combinations as clickable pills, so operators can reuse a previous classification in a single tap instead of re-navigating the full reason tree every time.

It's a small change that adds up to real time saved on high-frequency downtime events.

## Activity Form Field Widths & Wide Form Drawer

Activity forms just got a lot more flexible! Fields can now be given a width from 1 to 12 columns, letting template authors place related items side by side instead of stacking everything full-width down the page.

<figure><img src="https://739862199-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fui1NP5hM11ITFVyin8gu%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c58c389d831b928d4a2d011ce9ee54d7547e70f4%2Factivity-form-widths-width-selector.png?alt=media" alt="Item Properties panel showing the Width selector"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Pair this with the new "Wide form" template setting, and a form opens in the larger right-hand drawer on desktop, giving multi-column layouts all the room they need to shine.

## Line Level Activity Visibility

A great win for teams running equipment in lines rather than isolation. Activity templates can now be configured to display across sibling assets of selected asset classes on the same production line, so an activity raised on one asset is immediately visible on every relevant asset along that line — keeping adjacent operators in the loop without any extra manual raising.

***

## One-Step Manual Downtime Recording

Logging downtime is now a single, fluid step. The Downtime Record activity creates and classifies the event in one go, updating the asset timeline and OEE Availability immediately, while duplicate, overlapping, or out-of-shift entries are automatically rejected to keep your data clean.

***

## Duplicate Activity Prevention

Activity templates now include a setting to stop the same activity being raised twice for the same asset and order. While an equivalent activity is still scheduled or active, a new one simply won't be created — whether it was triggered automatically or started manually — keeping activity lists tidy and trustworthy.

***

## Smarter Handling of Scheduled Activities

Scheduled activities that miss their requirements — like a running order or the right asset status — no longer sit waiting indefinitely. They now resolve to inactive at their due time by default, with a new "Wait for Requirements" option available on the activity assignment for the cases where waiting is exactly what you want.

***

## FIFO/LIFO Material Consumption Strategies

Material movement types now support FIFO and LIFO consumption strategies. Record a consumption without specifying an inventory key, and the system automatically draws down inventory in the configured order — oldest first or newest first — taking the guesswork out of stock rotation.

***

## Insights Date Range Picker, Reimagined

The Insights date range selector now offers clear, named presets — Last hour, Last 4 hours, Last 24 hours, and Last 7 days — with a consistent range applied every time you open it. No more inconsistent start and end times catching you out.

***

## Insights Shift Times & Line Order Fixes

Shift times in Insights now display correctly in the site's own timezone, regardless of which timezone your browser is set to, and lines in the scope picker now appear in their configured display order — making reports easier to read and trust at a glance.

***

## Modified By in Article History

Article version history now includes a Modified By column, showing exactly who last edited each version, published or draft. A simple addition that goes a long way for governance and traceability in article-heavy deployments.

## Also Improved This Quarter

* **Activity Line Reference Accuracy** — Activity forms now retain the production line reference active at submission time, even if the order is later moved to a different line, preserving an accurate audit trail.
* **Scheduler Permission Enforcement** — Scheduler access now correctly respects user permissions, preventing unauthorised access to scheduling functions.
* **Cleaner Activity Cards** — Event schedule activities configured to not require an order no longer show stale or unrelated order numbers on long-running activity cards.
* **Live Process Variable Refresh** — The refresh button on Edge Data fields now pulls the latest value directly from Ignition or Edge, with a loading indicator while it does.
* **No Site Assigned Notification** — Users with no site assigned now see a clear, persistent message explaining why they've been logged out.
* **Ignition Module MQTT Resilience** — The Ignition module reliably restores data subscriptions after a network interruption, preventing silent data loss.
* **Ignition Module Connection Safeguard** — A new master enable/disable flag stops a restored Ignition backup from automatically connecting to a live TilliT instance.
* **Order Resume Data Integrity** — Resumed orders no longer carry stale completion timestamps that could throw off scheduling and planning data.
* **Barcode Scanner Reliability** — The barcode scanner in repeat-section activities now stays available for the full duration of the activity, no matter how many items are scanned.
* **Faster Barcode Activity Restore** — Activity forms with barcode scan items in repeating sections now restore saved progress significantly faster, with lower browser memory usage.
* **Ignition 8.3 Historian Flexibility** — The TilliT module for Ignition now runs correctly even when the Historian module is inactive or absent, giving partners more deployment flexibility.
